چکیده
The capture, storage and utilization of CO2 through hydrate-related technology is a promising approach to addressing the global warming issue. Dissociation required after transportation gas in form self-preserving hydrate. In order investigate dissociation behaviors as self-preservation effect removed, hydrates were frozen, then was removed uniform heating. An evident dependence hydrate duration on initial rates losing preservation observed. results silica gel powder sodium dodecyl sulphate solution showed significant reductions temperatures slight decrease when compared with those pure water. former 2.88, 2.89, 5.73 °C gel, sulphate, combination two, respectively, while latter 0.12, 0.16 mmol/min, respectively. As are inconsistent conventional mechanism elucidating effect, ice shell theory hence further supplemented by introducing innovative contribution factors—nonenclathrated liquid water molecules dissolved inside. These findings expected provide references for usage effect.

Surfactant Surface Tension Effects on Promoting Hydrate Formation: An Experimental Study Using Fluorocarbon Surfactant (Intechem-01) + SDS Composite Surfactant
The investigation of surface tension is a very important task for gas hydrate studying. Surfactants can effectively reduce the surface tension, improve the gas storage capability of hydrate and increase the formation rate, shorten the induction time. The objective of this study were to obtain a better understanding of the role of surface tension on hydrate formation and build gas hydrate models...
متن کاملEffective Self-Preservation of Methane Hydrate Particles in Crude Oils
In this work we investigated the behavior of methane hydrates dispersed in crude oils from different fields at temperatures below 0°C. In case of crude oil emulsion the size of water droplets is in the range of 50÷100μm. The size of hydrate particles formed from droplets is the same. The self-preservation is not expected in this field. However, the self-preservation of hydrates with the size of...
متن کاملOrigin of Self-preservation Effect for Hydrate Decomposition: Coupling of Mass and Heat Transfer Resistances
Gas hydrates could show an unexpected high stability at conditions out of thermodynamic equilibrium, which is called the self-preservation effect. The mechanism of the effect for methane hydrates is here investigated via molecular dynamics simulations, in which an NVT/E method is introduced to represent different levels of heat transfer resistance. Our simulations suggest a coupling between the...
متن کاملEffect of Surfactant-coated Particles on Clathrate Hydrate Formation
Clathrate hydrates are crystalline compounds composed of hydrogen-bonded water molecules that form polyhedral cavities and trap small guest molecules such as methane, carbon dioxide, cyclopentane (CP), and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Understanding the formation and dissociation of clathrate hydrates is of significant importance to addressing some global challenges such as greenhouse gas mitigation a...
